Shipping & Delivery Policy
At British Custom Boxes, all products are custom-made to order. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how and when your items will be delivered within the United Kingdom.
1. Production Time
Production begins after:
- Final artwork/proof approval, and
- Full payment is received
Standard Production Time
- 8–10 working days
Express Production (Subject to Approval)
- 5–7 working days
Express services depend on:
- order quantity
- material availability
- complexity of the design
If available, any additional charges will be confirmed before processing.
2. Delivery Timeframes (UK)
Once production is complete, delivery typically takes:
- 1–3 working days for mainland UK
- 3–5 working days for remote areas, including Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may vary during:
- peak seasonal periods
- courier delays
- adverse weather or unforeseen events
We are not liable for delays outside our control.
3. Shipping Services
We partner with reputable UK and international couriers, including:
- Royal Mail
- DPD
- Parcelforce
- DHL or FedEx (where applicable)
All orders are dispatched using tracked delivery services.
Tracking Information
Once your order is shipped:
- A tracking number will be provided by email
- You can monitor delivery progress online
4. Delivery Requirements
Please ensure:
- The delivery address provided is complete and accurate
- Someone is available to receive the parcel at the address
We are not responsible for:
- delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery details
- missed deliveries or redelivery charges imposed by the courier
Risk passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified address.
5. Shipping Charges
Shipping costs depend on:
- order size and weight
- delivery location
- selected service (standard or express)
Any charges will be confirmed at the time of quotation or checkout.
6. International Shipping
At present, we primarily ship within the United Kingdom.
If you require international delivery, please contact us to check availability.
Additional customs duties, taxes, or charges (if applicable) are the customer’s responsibility.
7. Damaged or Missing Items
If your order arrives damaged or incomplete:
You must notify us within:
- 48 hours of delivery
Provide:
- order number
- photos of external packaging and affected items
We will investigate and advise next steps.
Failure to report within this timeframe may affect eligibility.
8. Delays & Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control, including:
- courier disruptions
- extreme weather
- strikes
- supply shortages
- national emergencies
We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible if a delay occurs.
